21st Century Skills: Preparing the New Generation

21st Century Skills are the skills that will help students succeed in their contemporary careers, workplaces, and collegiate programs. The Global Digital Citizen Foundation has concluded that 21st Century Skills fall into the categories of problem solving, creativity, analytical thinking, collaboration, and ethics. The absence of technology from this list may be surprising to many. However, the Partnership of 21st Century Learning (P21) emphasizes that these skills make your child a more well rounded, and informed individual. Because of this, they can make better judgement calls, and analytic conclusions on how to properly use technology to accomplish goals. These individual skills alone are powerful and helpful, however when they are all brought together they make an awesome employee, student, and person! This semester we are going to take a look at these skills, their importance, and how they will help your child succeed. Follow along as we explore a new topic each week and join our newsletter to get updates about all things entrepreneurship!
