Traditional summer camps are old hat. Sure, playing capture the flag is fun, but what is your child actually learning from that? The truth is, if you want your child to really take something away from this summer (other than a nice tan), they need a camp that offers the chance to learn valuable skills and principles, in addition to fun.
Specifically, they need a youth entrepreneurship course. During this fun and interactive class, students learn to brainstorm, create products and launch their own business. They even learn skills to make that business a success after the course is over. Best of all? They have fun every step of the way.
Currently, we offer three youth entrepreneurship courses:
- Youth Startup – For kids 5 and up, the Youth Startup program gives students the chance to invent their own product and build their own company. They’ll even create a prototype of their product and learn to pitch it to investors.
- High School Startup – Designed for students between 9th and 12th grades, High School Startup teaches students the key principles of business and entrepreneurship, showing them how to do everything from market research to customer analysis to prototyping. Students dive into crowdfunding, create demos, and pitch to investors at the end of the program!
- Girl Startup – This course is designed specifically for girls, giving them an opportunity to get hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and business skills in an environment focused on empowering young women!
In each of our youth entrepreneurship courses, the students will get to work with a real-life mentor – a working professional from out in the community. The mentor will be there to help and guide them, and can even assist down the road once the program has ended. This can provide a valuable networking resource that can lead to internships, jobs and other professional opportunities.
