Kid Entrepreneurs? It’s No Joke: Meet these 3 Successful Youths

When you hear the phrase “kid entrepreneurs”, you might think lemonade stands or bake sales. However, there are plenty of young people out there who are building their own companies, creating their own products and changing the world with their ideas. They prove that age really is just a number, and that with the right ideas and enough motivation, anyone can achieve their dreams and make a difference.

Here are three kid entrepreneurs who have already made a splash:

  • Shubham Banerjee – Shubham is a 13 year old boy from Belgium. For his school’s science fair, he created a working, at-home 3D Braille printer, constructed completely out of Legos. As if that weren’t enough, the printer cost a mere $250 to build. As most 3D Braille printers cost $2,000 or more, Shubham’s invention could truly change the lives of millions of blind people across the world.
  • Adam Hildreth – Adam started his first company, Dubit, when he was just 14. Dubit was a social networking site that became incredibly popular throughout Europe. Two years later, he launched a new company called Crisp. Crisp is a software company that works to protect kids from online predators. Adam is still working with Crisp today.
  • Ryan Kelly – Ryan Kelly, now 12 years old, is already the owner of a successful dog treat bakery. Called Ry’s Ruffery (formerly “Barkery”), his business was featured on the TV show “Shark Tank,” where he teamed up with Shark Barbara Corcoran for a $25,000 investment.

These three kid entrepreneurs prove that no matter how big or small your ideas are (or what your age is), with a little hard work and effort, you can make any dream come true.
