3 of Our Programs on Technology for Kids

These days, technology is a natural part of children’s lives. They know how to watch movies on tablets, play games on their computers, and text with friends on cell phones from the time they learn to read, and they can’t even imagine what life was like before the ubiquity of the internet.

But technology isn’t just fun and games. In fact, it can have educational value. Kids can use technology to read, research and turn in homework, and it can help kids prepare for successful careers in school and later on in their professional lives as well.

At VentureLab, we provide many programs that focus on technology for kids and the educational opportunities it poses. Want to help your child use technology to their advantage? Here are just a few of our programs they might enjoy:

  • Maker – This unique program is perfect for the tech-savvy kid. Each course is different, but in the past, Maker courses have incorporated 3D printers, mind-controlled devices, electronics and more. Students learn all about the latest and greatest technology, and then they’re given the tools to use that technology to create an innovative, unique product that society needs.
  • Film and Music Production – Is your child really into movies? Then this is the camp for them. Students learn the principles of photography and videography, gain hands-on experience with film production equipment, and even work together to create a real-life video product. At the end of each program, students even “pitch” their film to producers (parents like you!), to give them a taste of what the film industry is really like.
  • Gamer – When it comes to technology for kids, video games are some of the first things that come to mind. But with our gamer camp, video games take on a whole different meaning. Instead of just playing games from the couch, students learn programming and design basics and actually create a video game all their own. They also learn about market research, entrepreneurship and more.

Give your child the tools they need to succeed by enrolling them in one of our cutting edge technology for kids programs. Contact VentureLab today for more information, or sign your child up now.
