Maker Programs Offer Both Excitement and Education

Getting your child excited about learning can be difficult. Why would they want to sit down and learn, especially when they have to do that most of the day at school?

However, excitement and education don’t have to be mutually exclusive. It’s all a matter of finding the right educational activity – one that piques their interest, exhilarates them and encourages learning at the same time. VentureLab’s Maker programs fit the bill perfectly and incorporate ideas of entrepreneurship.

Maker Programs and Your Child

Programs that focus on creating things, like our very own Maker course, allow kids to expand their minds while still having fun. They’ll learn to use the latest technology in creative and fun ways, from building circuits with conductive play-dough to developing models for a 3D-printer. Students can discover how to take an idea from conception to realization by getting hands-on with the tools that entrepreneurs use to prototype their inventions and products.

The best part? They do it all with like-minded peers of their own. This makes it seem more like a “play” activity than a “learning” one, so students are more apt to get involved and get the most from their experience.
