Our youth entrepreneurship programs don’t just exist to help children learn, grow and succeed—in fact, they actually help better society, and the world, as a whole. At VentureLab, we work to instill a sense of social awareness in each and every student through the programs we offer. We encourage each child to think about major problems and issues that people in their families, their community and the entire country are facing. Then, we help them develop ideas that can help alleviate those problems and deliver a better quality of life to all.
Are you considering enrolling your child in one of our youth entrepreneurship programs? Then take a minute to discover exactly how our programs benefit society and the world at large.
- We give students the tools they need to change the world. Once a child has an idea about how to solve a societal problem, we give them the tools they need to make that idea a reality. Our programs help them learn to code that program or create that app. We help them build their demo product or perfect their pitch to investors. In short, we give them the resources they need to move forward.
- Our programs teach children to work around boundaries. We teach our students that anything is possible. We also encourage them to be creative and innovate. Even if an idea seems out of reach, we help students find ways to make it possible, no matter what the limitations.
- We connect students with others who can help their dreams become a reality. In addition to the lessons and skills learned in our programs, our students will also get to connect with key players in their community and industry. This can lead to business deals, investments and other career opportunities that move them closer to success.
Take our recent student Estrella Hernandez, for example. We helped her devise and create WeWalk, an app that helps fight childhood obesity. Her app recently earned her $200,000 in funding from HEB, and she now has mentors from Geekdom on her side – all thanks to her participation in VentureLab!
