Career-minded women can find the support and guidance they need to achieve their business goals easily and seamlessly, with the help of these fantastic resources. Here are six more of our favorite resources for women entrepreneurs:
- Women 2.0 – Designed specifically for women with technology-related businesses and career goals, Women 2.0 offers a variety of educational opportunities and resources, including newsletters, videos and even networking events. This organization is spearheaded by successful workingwomen in the science and tech fields. Women 2.0 also hosts an annual start-up competition called PITCH, which encourages early adoption of emerging technologies.
- Make Mine a Million – Created by Count Me In for Women’s Economic Independence, the Make Mine a Million movement aims to help female entrepreneurs reach the $1 million mark in their business ventures. They offer webinars, hands-on mentorship and advising, networking events and much more. The program also has several awards and loans available to members.
- Women in Technology International – WITI works to encourage and inspire women in technological and computer-related careers. It offers regular events, mixers and conventions, as well as career development resources, community forums and more.
- National Association of Women Business Owners – One of the biggest resources for women entrepreneurs, the National Association of Women Business Owners has been supporting female business owners since 1975. Today, it has more than 7,000 members and a chapter in every major city across the country. The organization offers business certification, leadership summits, customized training opportunities and more. It even helps women find funding for their potential business ventures.
- Women’s Business Development Council – The WBDC helps women entrepreneurs with the financial end of their businesses. They feature financial coaching, training and more to help women grow their businesses and see success.
- SCORE – While not just for women, SCORE is a hands-on mentorship program designed for entrepreneurs of any gender, background or industry. It offers business owners a chance to work with experienced, successful entrepreneurs who can offer advice and guidance, or simply serve as a sounding board for new ideas and inventions.
