Events for Young Female Entrepreneurs at VentureLab
VentureLab offers events and educational programs for all kinds of entrepreneurs year-round. Over the next few months, we’ll be offering quite a few sessions designed specifically with young female entrepreneurs in mind. These ladies-only events will provide a hands-on, personalized learning experience that can help students get creative, launch their products and start their own businesses, no matter what their age.
This summer, we’ll be offering the following programs:
- Girl Startup 101: June 9-13, June 23-27, Aug. 11-15. This series is designed to help young female entrepreneurs create and launch their own company. Participants learn about brainstorming, competitive analysis, customer development, prototyping, pitching and much more. They will even get the chance to build their own product and deliver a pitch at the program’s close.
- Gamer Summer Camp: July 7-11. This program, which delivers hands-on instruction in game design, is aimed at tech-minded young girls. Students will learn a programming language designed by MIT and Stanford, and use that code to build and test their own playable games. Participants will also learn about market research, surveying, editing, pricing strategies and marketing, and will have the opportunity to launch their own game company.
- Urban Farmer Sumer Camp: July 14-18. This unique summer program gives young girls hands-on experience in gardening, farming and the environment. Students will take part in classic soil gardening activities, as well as learn about automated controlled environment farming. They’ll plant, transplant, harvest, compost and discover how to install and read sensors.
In addition to our girls-only events, young female entrepreneurs may also enjoy our mixed lessons, including our High School Startup or our Recyclepreneur program. Learn more here.
