VentureLab offers state-of-the-art youth entrepreneurship programs in the San Antonio area. Our courses cater to students of all ages, from kindergarten on through college, and we have sessions available on weekends, during the summer and after school to fit even the busiest of families’ schedules.
Are you interested in enrolling your child in one of our youth entrepreneurship programs? Here’s what we have coming up in February and March!
- Gamer Course: Students will learn how to develop an original game and how to launch their own gaming company. With sessions for ages 5-7, 8-10, and 11-13, your child will be encouraged to be creative and get hands-on experience. gamer course uses a programing language developed by MIT and Stanford to give kids an introduction to game design. The day is broken up into a variety of lessons that will allow students to become more familiar with the Scratch language and entrepreneurship.
When: February 22nd, 2014. Morning session is from 9:00AM to 12:00PM and the afternoon session is from 1:00PM to 4:00PM.
Location: UTSA Downtown, 501 East Cesar E. Chavez Blvd.
- Youth Startup 101 Camp: This 5-day event will teach students ages 5-13 how to develop and launch their own company, covering everything from customer development to competitive analysis to prototyping. Exploring the fundamentals of business start-ups and the principles of entrepreneurship, this camp helps students develop leadership and organizational skills, as well as other STEM principles.
When: March 10th 9:00AM to March 14th, 4:00PM.
- Girl Startup 101 Camp: Based on the same Startup 101 curriculum, this camp runs concurrently with our Youth Startup 101 Camp, but is an all-girl course.
When: March 10th 9:00AM to March 14th, 4:00PM.
- High School Startup 101 Camp: This segment of the Startup 101 is for students ages 14-19.
When: March 10th 9:00AM to March 14th, 4:00PM.
