3D printing is a technology that is shaping the future of manufacturing and is a staple in VentureLab's Maker courses. In our Maker courses, we teach 5 to 19-year olds how to design and print real plastic products. It's an exciting technology that uses materials well beyond plastic, from gold to aluminum, steel... literally any materials you can think of. At CES this year, a new possibility was shown to the public: food! It's like the Jetson's imaginings are finally coming true.
According to Mashable, several companies are working on 3D printed food options from pizza to chocolate to ravioli. We're a long way from seeing these in households, but the future looks sweet.
